AI consulting · Minnesota · remote-first, Minneapolis-based
AI consulting for Minnesota businesses, wherever in the state you are
One in five Minnesota businesses now uses AI in some part of its operations, the highest rate in the Upper Midwest according to the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. Most of the other four have tried a chatbot, gotten a mediocre answer, and gone back to doing it by hand. 1771 works with owner-led businesses across Minnesota to make AI actually do the work, in live sessions that need nothing more than a screen share.

The same three automations run in a Rochester clinic, a Duluth contractor's office, or a St. Cloud manufacturer's front desk. Here's what we've built with clients so far.
- A weekly SEO digest with next steps — Every Monday, a plain-language note on what moved in search for your site and the three things to do about it. Pulled from Search Console and your analytics: which pages gained, which slipped, which new questions people are typing, and a short list of actions ranked by payoff. No dashboard to log into. It reads like a note from a colleague who checked so you didn't have to.
- After-hours follow-up for texts, calls, and emails — A message that lands at 9 p.m. gets a useful reply in your voice within minutes, and you find it logged and queued in the morning. Missed calls get a text back. Emails and texts get an answer that covers the common questions, sets expectations, and offers a booking link. Everything is logged with context, so your first job in the morning is a two-minute review, not a pile of cold replies.
- From sales call to finished proposal — Record the prospecting call. By the time you're back at your desk, a proposal PDF in your template is waiting for your edits. The transcript becomes scope, options, pricing, and terms drafted from what was actually said, in your voice, laid out in your branded template. You correct a few lines and send it the same afternoon instead of next week.
How this works outside the Twin Cities
Every session is a live screen share. You share your inbox, your CRM, your spreadsheet, and we build inside it together. Between sessions you have unlimited Voxer voice and text, which works as well from Bemidji as from Bloomington. Nothing about the retainer depends on being in the same room.
We do drive. For a workflow that's physical, like a shop floor intake or a clinic front desk, we'll come to Rochester, Duluth, St. Cloud, or Mankato for a session. Anything farther, we'll talk about.
Greater Minnesota businesses we're built for
Agricultural suppliers and co-ops drowning in seasonal paperwork. Manufacturers with quoting and order-entry that still lives in email. Clinics and dental practices where the front desk is the bottleneck. Contractors who lose after-hours leads. Nonprofits and county-adjacent organizations that report to boards and funders. Professional services firms in Rochester and Duluth competing with Twin Cities rates.
What they have in common: an owner or a small team doing repetitive work that a well-built tool could take, and no one on staff whose job it is to build that tool.
Why a Minnesota firm, not a national one
Most of the AI consultants that show up when you search are national firms with a page for every state. They don't know the difference between Duluth and Edina, and they won't drive to either. 1771 has been a Minnesota company since 2013, has built software for Cargill, Optum, and Blue Cross Blue Shield as well as dozens of small Minnesota companies, and answers the phone at a 612 number.

Questions people ask
Do you work with businesses outside the Twin Cities?
Yes. The retainer is remote-first and most clients never need us on site. We'll travel for sessions where it matters, within a reasonable drive of Minneapolis.
Is Minnesota really ahead on AI adoption?
The Minneapolis Fed reported that 20 percent of Minnesota businesses were using AI in some function in early 2026, up sharply from the end of 2025. That's the leading rate in the Ninth District. It also means 80 percent haven't started.
What kind of businesses get the most out of this?
Owner-led companies of roughly two to twenty-five people with repeatable work: quoting, intake, follow-up, scheduling, reporting. If you can describe a task you do the same way every week, we can probably automate most of it.
What does it cost?
$1,999 a month, billed monthly, the same price anywhere in Minnesota. The first 30-minute call is free.
